Chaz Benedict has been with Hach for 15 years in sales and technical advisory positions, focused primarily on the beverage industry. He co-authored a patent on "Polymer Compositions Containing Oxygen Scavenging Compounds" and developed many of the dissolved-gas package testing methods used today.
Nicole Bertram has been with Hach since 2000 and is responsible for managing all HST products. Nicole also handles product marketing and market research for HST. Her continual focus on meeting customer needs and the highest quality standard helps ensure Hach HST products are the most reliable and advanced products available. She has a BS in Forest Hydrology and Soils from the University of Georgia.
Bob Dabkowski is a Wastewater Specialist and licensed Wastewater Operator with Hach Company, based in Loveland, Colorado. In addition to his involvement with WEF’s Automation and Information Technology Committee, and the Nutrient Issues Workgroup, Bob has volunteered to be a primary author of WEF’s Basic Laboratory Procedures manual. In the ten years he’s been with Hach, he has personally consulted with hundreds of different treatment plants for process analysis and control, developing those experiences into several articles and white papers on process control and automation.
Joe Gecsey is responsible for tracking regulatory changes regarding particulate counting in the Life Science industry and is one of two US representatives on the TC 209 Working Group (WG1) tasked with finalizing the revisions to ISO 14644-1 and 14644-2. He has conducted seminars throughout the world on particle counter design and applications. Joe received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of California in 1974 and has been employed as an engineer and technical advisor by Hach (previously Met One) since 1984.
Dan Kroll has been with Hach for 18 years in a variety of roles. He has been the lead researcher on a variety of method development projects for the physical, chemical and microbiological quality of water and soils for which he holds several patents. Dan has Bachelor's degrees in Microbiology and Genetics and a Master's degree in Water Resource Management and Environmental Engineering from Iowa State University. Dan is the author of "Securing our Water Supply: Protecting a Vulnerable Resource".
Dr. Vadim Malkov has worked for Hach Company for almost 7 years as an R&D chemist and in Product Management specializing in the area of process analysis and instrumentation. For the last few years he has focused primarily on disinfection processes and monitoring in both municipal and industrial applications.
Steven Smith has nearly 20 years of marketing, sales and business development experience with Fortune 500 corporations including Emerson Electric, FMC Corporation, and Danaher Corporation. Most recently Steven has been responsible for enhancing the market position of Hach Anatel TOC product line for Danaher Corporation. Prior to Danaher Corporation, Steven spent four years with Helix Technology directing the product marketing efforts of the Granville-Phillips product line to the semiconductor industry. Prior to Helix Technology Steven served as the Marketing Director for a start-up business for FMC Corporation. This business developed and marketed technology for industrial measurement. Steven began his marketing career in 1987 with Emerson Electric as an Industrial Marketing Manager directing the industrial marketing activities for Micro Motion Corporation in Boulder, Colorado. Steven earned a BS degree from the University of Wisconsin and an MBA from the University of Colorado
Greg Thomas has 23 years’ experience with the Orbisphere brand at Hach and Hach Ultra Analytics. He is presently the Applications Development Manager for the power generation market in the U.S. and has worked in various sales, training and technical roles since 1986. He has a M.S. in Chemistry from the University of Rhode Island and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Lowell in Massachusetts.
Scott Tucker has worked for Hach Company for 10 years as an application and technical support chemist for Lachat Instruments. For the past 3 years working with the application team, he has developed many new FIA and IC applications for Lachat's QC 8500 analyzer.
Pat Wiese is an Application Scientist at Hach Company and is a member of the American Water Works Association, the International Water Association and the American Chemical Society. He has 36 years of experience in developing chemical analysis methods and drinking water applications for Hach Company.
